Wedding Favor

This month I am completing a wedding package for an October wedding in Manhattan. The fun couple are giving out lottery tickets as their wedding favors and I've designed the packaging for the "lucky ticket's". They mini paper bags were sealed with wax and read "We thank our lucky stars, now it's your turn!"

Hatch Show Print

I was in Tennessee and was so excited to visit Hatch Show Print! Over 130 years old, still running and now functioning partially like a museum. I felt pretty special to get a private tour of their facilities. Learning more about the history of print making and the impact had on the music industry was fascinating and the visually breathtaking archives... Ok, I have a confession. I went to Hatch Show Print twice while I was in Nashville.

Greetings in a gift bag

The holiday's are here and so we wanted to add a little greeting to everyone's life. 200 gift bags with Papermedium products were given to guests at holiday party in Manhattan. We are also excited to add a handful of blank card designs to our site soon.

Brightly lite streets in Decemeber always give me the warm fuzzies. The holiday's are here and I wanted to spend a moment to thank everyone for their support. Doogie

This is who I met in Sydney! He is currently my newest and biggest inspiration. He's a Dugong. They can be found in warm coastal waters from East Africa to Australia, Red Sea, Indian Ocean, and Pacific. They are vegetarians ( see picture above of him eating a salad) and related to elephants. They say that some believe that dugongs were the inspiration for ancient tales of mermaids. I miss him.

National Stationary Show 2009

Papermedium's debut and first show (Booth 1723) at the National Stationary Show at the Jacob Javits Center in New York was successful. We've been featured in several blogs and gotten press coverage in a very short time period.

I've learned a lot, saw a lot and my favorite; I unexpectedly met so many people I am very grateful for. Throughout this entire process, people have shared their knowledge, constructively criticized, encouraged, discouraged and inspired. If any one of those elements were missing, the results would not have been the same. Thank you to all those individuals who were part of this.

I am really looking forward to the next steps of progressing, developing, drawing, inventing, building and loving it.

When I like something, I can really like something. I had already decided to build with birch for my booth and as I strolled along some street upstate, I came across this! I've decided I really like this love seat. It's so perfectly imperfect.

Scavenger Hunt

I love materials. I always loved the scavenger hunts (around the neighborhood) we always use to have during slumber parties growing up. I feel like I was always on the winning team haha? All I know is that it was always a race to the finish which was pretty much the case for the fast approaching May show.
